National Quality Board draft report published
The NQB has published a draft report, Quality in the new health system - Maintaining and improving quality from April 2013. The report aims to address how under the new NHS structure failures in quality can be prevented if possible and identified and put right when they occur. It sets out to provide clarity around the distinct roles and responsibilities for quality or individuals and organisations across the new system architecture. The central role of commissioners is emphasised and we would urge you to read and consider responding to the request made for comments on the draft. The report can be found here. Comments should be sent to [email protected] by 30 September.
